This policy explains how Jacopo Dondi Pty Ltd (ABN 39 612 007 137) (“we”, “us”) handles your personal information when you visit jacopodondi.com.au or buy from us. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, billing and delivery addresses, phone number if you give it, and what you bought.
- Payment details: card payments are entered into and processed by Revolut. We don’t see or store your full card number.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, such as return or warranty requests and photos.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
- Technical information: basic information your browser sends when you visit, such as your IP address, and the cookies described below.
We collect this information directly from you. You can browse the site without giving us personal information, but we can’t process an order without it.
Why we collect it
- to process, ship and support your order, including returns, refunds and warranty claims
- to reply to your questions
- to send you marketing emails, but only if you’ve agreed to receive them
- to run, secure and improve our website
- to meet our legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records
Who we share it with
We only share what each provider needs to do its job:
- Revolut: to process card payments
- Australia Post: to deliver your order
- Zonos (US orders only): Australia Post’s duty partner, to calculate and prepay US duties
- Hostinger: our website host, whose server stores our website and order data
- Purelymail: our email provider
- Google (Google Analytics): to help us understand how our website is used
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare Turnstile): to check that the person using our sign in, create account and password reset forms is not an automated bot. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
- government or law enforcement bodies where the law requires it
We don’t sell your personal information.
Overseas disclosure
Some of your information is stored or processed outside Australia:
- our website and order data are stored on a Hostinger server located in Malaysia
- for US orders, your order and delivery details are shared with Zonos and will be processed in the United States for customs purposes
- Revolut, Purelymail and Google may store or process information in other countries, including the United States
- for international orders, delivery details are passed to carriers and customs authorities in the destination country
We take reasonable steps to choose providers that protect personal information appropriately.
Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies set by WooCommerce to run your cart, checkout and account session, and to note which page or link brought you to our store when you place an order. Our payment provider, Revolut, may also set cookies during checkout to process your payment securely and prevent fraud.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website, for example which pages are visited and how visitors found us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you view. It doesn’t give us your name or contact details. Google Analytics only runs if you choose Accept in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time with Cookie choices at the bottom of the page. You can also opt out by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by blocking cookies in your browser.
We don’t use advertising cookies. If that changes, we’ll update this policy first. You can block cookies in your browser, but the cart and checkout may not work without them.
Marketing emails
We’ll only send you marketing emails if you’ve opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us to opt out at any time. We’ll still send emails about your orders.
Back-in-stock emails
If you ask us to email you when a sold out item is back, we use your email address only for that: a confirmation, then one email when the item is restocked. We delete it within 30 days after that email is sent, and we don’t add you to marketing emails unless you’ve opted in separately.
Spam protection
To protect our sign in, create account and password reset forms from automated spam, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. When you use these forms, Turnstile collects technical information from your browser and device, such as your IP address, browser (user agent) details and connection (TLS) details, to check that you are a person and not a bot. The check runs in the background and shows nothing on screen. It is strictly necessary to keep these forms secure, so it doesn’t depend on your cookie choices. Cloudflare may also use this information to improve its bot detection, and may process it outside Australia, including in the United States.

Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, tax records), then delete or de-identify it.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing info@jacopodondi.com.au. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you have an account, you can also update your details there.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your information, please email us first at info@jacopodondi.com.au. We’ll look into it and respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
